![]() early Disney's Sing Along Songs releases were released on a Tuesday as is the norm for new home entertainment releases today, but also on a Friday, yet laserdiscs might have a Wednesday or Thursday date, so I'm assuming these are not accurate). When it comes to laserdiscs however, this has not been easy to be 100% certain with as many are not listed online, or they don't make sense based on the dates I have found (i.e. The series was re-released numerous times, and so if the only so-called change was different video trailers before the program and the packaging is the same as before, then these are not included as they aren't really a change to the content.Īs for release dates, I believe that the VHS and DVDs listed here are correct, and some even correct other sources found online. perhaps a song is cut, the program is extended, the title is redesigned or changed, etc.), or packaging change. To clarify, this list includes every single edition that has a significant program change (i.e. Other than that, it is one of the best of this series and very close to perfect. For all you Disney Sing Along Songs fans (including myself), I just thought I'd list each version by exact title (which you will not find anywhere else online at time of writing) and point you in the right direction of where to get them. ![]() ![]() Hakuna Matata is fine, but Yummy Yummy, W-I-L-D and Jungle Rhythm are forgettable and very unnecessary, at least in my opinion. What makes Circle of Life not quite perfect? The added songs for me. Anybody who loves Jiminy Cricket will find him every bit as likable and as thoughtful, and we are treated to Cliff Edward's immortal rendition of When You Wish Upon a Star from Pinocchio, one of the most inspiring and heart-melting Disney songs of their cannon, not to mention nostalgic. Other highlights are the poignant Part of Your World, the fun and underrated Prince Ali, the jazzy Everybody Wants to be a Cat and Belle, which sets the tone of Beauty and the Beast beautifully. I Can't Wait to be King looks just as vibrant and great fun, but Circle of Life gives me that extra something. Circle of Life starts wonderfully, with one of the best and spirit-rousing beginnings of any Disney movie(my favourite is the one for The Hunchback of Notre Dame) in Circle of Life. This Christmas gave me an opportunity to revisit these sing-along videos, and Circle of Life turned out to be one of my favourites. And The Lion King is my second favourite Disney film after Beauty and the Beast. I love Disney, and the Disney Sing-along series.
